Before you install, please read

Your GibbsCAM Student License is uniquely tied to the hard drive of installation. The license cannot be recovered or transferred, in order to prevent abuse. Please ensure your system is healthy before installation. All Student License purchases are final.


Compliance & Activation Process

  • What information will I need to provide for compliance & activation?

    During the ordering process, you will be asked for the following information:

    • Legal name (company or individual)
    • Complete address
    • Phone number and email address

  • How long will compliance take?

    Once this information is submitted, it will be verified by GibbsCAM. This process usually takes approximately 3 to 4 business days.

  • When will I receive my software?

    When verification is complete, you will receive an activation code and download link by email to enable your Student License version of GibbsCAM.

Windows only. Check your machine against this list before ordering, since all purchases are final.

  • Operating system. Windows 10 or Windows 11 (with all available Windows updates).
  • Processor. Intel: Xeon, Core i3 or i7 with four or more cores, or AMD: Ryzen or Threadripper.
  • Memory. 16 GB minimum. 32 GB or more recommended for complex parts, large assemblies, or multitasking with other software (e.g. CAD programs).
  • Graphics. A quality Nvidia card with 4+ GB of video memory and the latest drivers installed (e.g. GeForce RTX series or Quadro P4000/P5000).
  • Storage. 2 GB of available hard drive space (for virtual memory usage and temporary file storage).
