Built around GibbsCAM, the CAM software used across aerospace, medical, and precision machining.
Training a team on GibbsCAM is harder than it should be
New hires take too long
Getting a new hire to real proficiency on GibbsCAM can take months, and you're paying them for every week of the ramp.
You're not getting the machine you paid for
You invested in multi-axis machines and advanced toolpaths. Until your team can program them with confidence, that capability sits underused and jobs run slower than they should.
Your best programmer is a single point of failure
Years of hard-won GibbsCAM know-how live in one or two people's heads. When they're out, on vacation, or they retire, the capability walks out with them.
How it works
Pick a format.
Self-paced On-Demand, Live Online via Zoom, or the best of both worlds.
We send a quote.
Approve it, then pay by card or invoice.
Your team levels up.
Expert training, with a certificate on completion for all formats.
A curriculum, not a course list
Everyone starts with Essentials, then branches into the track your shop runs.
Choosing a live cohort? Add the matching On-Demand course for 50% off, so your team keeps it as a reference after class.
GibbsCAM Essentials
Take a new hire from their first part to confident, independent programming.
Advanced Concepts
Program more complex parts and cut cycle times with advanced toolpaths and simulation.
4 and 5-Axis Machining
Confidently program complex multi-axis parts, from indexed work to full 5-axis motion.
Advanced Turning I
Get more out of your mill-turn machines with live tooling and high-speed roughing.
Advanced Turning II
Program complex Multi-Task Machines with confidence: multi-axis, sub-spindle, and Sync Control.
Live Online schedule
When can your team start?
On-Demand starts the moment your order is complete. Live Online classes run in two-week cohorts, so check the calendar for dates, or just tell us your preferred month in the form and we'll book your team into the next available class.

The training catalyst
Give every machinist a seat to practice on
Training only sticks when people can actually use the software. The GibbsCAM Student License is a dedicated learning seat for each machinist, on their own PC, for $150 a year, so your whole team can follow along with the courses without tying up a production seat.
Every advanced module, unlocked for learning
Advanced 3D, 5-axis milling, 4 and 5-axis multiblade, 5-axis porting, Advanced Turning with Multi-Task Machining, Swiss machining, tombstone management, probing, and Wire EDM. No module is held back from the learner.
Practice on the real interface
New hires and cross-trainers work through everything the courses teach, from basic milling and turning to the most complex multi-axis programming, before they touch a machine on the floor.
No extra shop seats required
Each machinist learns at home or on any PC. You standardize onboarding across the team without buying commercial licenses just to train.
Built to pair with the courses
The Student License mirrors the capabilities used in Cognus training, so every toolpath example in a lesson performs exactly as shown.
$150 USD / year per seat
A learning seat, not a production seat. Every advanced module is available to practice with, at a fraction of the cost of a commercial license.
Each license includes
- 365-day license
- Every advanced module, for learning
- Non-commercial use only
- Free training included
- Currently English only
What the Student License is not
The Student License is a training environment for learning GibbsCAM, and it is not a substitute for a commercial seat. It does not post G-code, and it does not save to commercial file formats, so work created in it cannot be moved into production. Your machinists learn and practice on it. Your shop's commercial seats keep cutting parts.
Before you buy: License keys are delivered by email after GibbsCAM completes a compliance verification, which takes 3 to 4 business days. Each Student License is uniquely tied to the hard drive it is installed on and cannot be recovered or transferred, in order to prevent abuse, so please make sure the system is healthy before installing. All Student License purchases are final. Non-commercial use only.
For larger teams
Keep training on track across the team
For larger and multi-site teams, the optional analyst dashboard tracks course completion across your machinists in one place, so you can standardize onboarding and see who's ready for what. Available with larger seat packages.
Our students program at some of the largest aerospace, defense, and precision manufacturers in North America.

Hardware requirements
What each machinist needs to run GibbsCAM during training. Live Online cohorts need two extra items.
Every learner needs
Required for all training formats.
- Intel: Xeon, Core i9, i7, or i5 with four or more cores or AMD: Ryzen or Threadripper.
- A quality Nvidia or AMD (ATI) 3D accelerated video card with 4+ GB of video memory.
- 16 GB RAM (more is recommended for very complex parts).
Also needed for live cohorts
So learners can follow the instructor in real time.
- 2 monitors are recommended. One to run GibbsCAM, the other to display the instructor's screen.
- Headphones with a microphone.
